Our Story

Hoops for Hope is a 3-on-3-basketball tournament that is nationally recognized through Kappa Kappa Gamma. Last year, our sorority raised over $20,000 for Stand Up 2 Cancer and had over 900 college students participate. We love to reach out to local businesses and restaurants and inform them about our significant impact on the community. Kappa Kappa Gamma always holds a very successful event, and this year we are hoping to host the biggest philanthropy in our history. Our event will be held on Saturday, April 23rd, 2016.

Each year our chapter votes on various organizations that we would like to donate our efforts to. This year, we are hoping to have over 900 contestants participate in the tournament and raise more than $25,000 for an organization known as The PMP Research Foundation.

We have upped our goal in attempts to raise money for two of our chapter members and their amazing family as their Dad/Uncle fights against PMP cancer (also known as Appendix Cancer).

The women of Kappa Kappa Gamma are putting all of our hearts and our efforts to really change the community of Tucson with our philanthropy event this year. We are hoping to have citizens within the city of Tucson recognize how college students are aimed to something larger in all of our lives.
